Instagram, the free vintage photo sharing app for iPhone will soon be made available to the Android Market. Thus, Android lovers will surely be delighted. From what we have recently heard, the Instagram for Android app has already been confirmed by Kevin Systrom. Now, all that you need to do is to wait for the app’s official Android Market launch. Sadly, the app’s specific date of availability remains undisclosed.
But wait a minute. This isn’t the time for you to make a puckered brow. That’s because we’ve just spotted a leaked photo of what is believed to be the Android version of Instagram. The leaked photo was rumored to be taken from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it somehow revealed a notification wherein the Instagram was listed as a featured app. Just don’t get too disappointed if ever you fail to find such in the Android Market. In fact, Burbn, Inc. has just released an official statement that the Instagram for Android app has never been uploaded in the market. Could the leak depict a fake version of the vintage photo app? We hope not.
As for those of you who aren’t quite familiar with Instagram, allow us to tell you that it’s one of today’s coolest apps aside, of course, from Angry Birds and Facebook Messenger. What this particular photo application can do is that it allows you to take photos of your favorite moments and make the image look like a vintage photograph. You can then upload the image to your profile at Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr or Google +. For now, only those with iPhones can download and install the app.
While waiting for Instagram for Android to be made available in the Android Market, you can always seek for good alternatives like the Pixlr-o-matic and the PicsArt – Photo Studio.
